45 Common Fabrics Guide (Part 8): How to Care for Milk Fiber、Soybean Fiber

45 Common Fabrics Guide

Milk Fiber

Features:
A protein-based fiber extracted from milk, containing 17 types of amino acids. It is exceptionally skin-friendly and soft but tends to lose shape easily.
Care:
Hand-wash gently in cold water. Do not bleach. Lay flat to dry and iron at low temperature (below 110 °C / 230 °F).

Soybean Fiber

Features:
A plant-based protein fiber with a soft, cashmere-like touch. It is breathable and moisture-absorbent but prone to wrinkling.
Care:
Hand-wash gently in cold water; do not wring. Iron at medium temperature (around 140 °C / 285 °F). Avoid exposure to direct sunlight.

Suede

Features:
A synthetic fabric that mimics natural suede, featuring a fine, short nap with a soft handfeel. It is durable and elegant but easily attracts dust and oil stains.
Care:
Groom with a special suede brush in the nap direction. For stains, use a suede eraser. Do not wash with water; professional dry cleaning is recommended. Store in a dry, ventilated place to prevent moisture damage.

Ice Silk

Features:
A modified polyester fiber known for its cool, smooth touch and excellent moisture-wicking and quick-drying properties. However, it may stiffen after multiple washes.
Care:
Hand-wash in cold water or use a gentle machine cycle. Do not bleach. Steam-iron at medium temperature and fold for storage to avoid flattening the texture.

Air Layer Fabric

Features:
A three-layer composite material with an air pocket in the middle that provides loft and warmth. It is breathable yet slightly heavy due to its structure.
Care:
Machine washable (use a laundry bag). Avoid high-temperature drying. Ironing is unnecessary. Prevent friction with rough surfaces to maintain fabric integrity.
