45 Common Fabrics and Care Tips — Part 9:Coated Fabric、Lace、Mesh Fabric、Flocked Fabric、Metallic Fabric

Coated Fabric
Features: The surface is treated with PU or PVC coating, offering excellent waterproof and windproof performance. However, it has poor breathability, and the coating may age and peel over time.
Care: Clean with a damp cloth only. Do not machine wash or dry clean. Avoid contact with sharp objects and store in a cool, ventilated place to prevent coating adhesion.

Lace
Features: A delicate openwork fabric known for its light, elegant texture. However, its fragile structure is prone to snagging and tearing.
Care: Hand wash in cold water using a laundry bag. Lay flat to dry to prevent deformation. Steam iron at low temperature and store separately to avoid snags.

Mesh Fabric
Features: A breathable, lightweight fabric with mesh-like holes that dry quickly and feel airy, though it lacks elasticity and can easily snag on sharp objects.
Care: Gently hand wash in cold water and avoid twisting or wringing. Lay flat to dry. No ironing required.

Flocked Fabric
Features: The surface is covered with short fibers through electrostatic flocking, giving it a soft, velvety touch. However, the flocked fibers may shed easily.
Care: Gently hand wash in cold water without rubbing or wringing. Air dry in the shade and lightly brush to restore texture. Avoid frequent washing.

Metallic Fabric
Features: A shimmering fabric blended with metallic threads, creating a luxurious and stylish appearance. However, the metallic fibers are prone to breaking and oxidation.
Care: Dry cleaning is recommended. If hand washing, use a mild detergent. Do not iron the metallic thread areas. Store in a sealed, dry environment to prevent oxidation.
